Romans 10:14-15 (NIVUK)
“14 How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? 15 And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: ‘How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!’“
It is a glorious thing when one confesses the Savior’s name before men. The Lord tells us that if we proclaim the name of the Lord before others, Jesus will acknowledge our name before the Lord God in heaven…(Matthew 10:32).
I have named the name of the Lord before men many times, and now I gladly do it once more! I believe Jesus Christ to be the Son of God and Savior of mankind…
It is out of knowledge of Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross for our sins, and for the sins themselves that Christians turn away and repent of them…(Acts 17:30-31). We have lived in our trespasses long enough and grieved our precious Father. Along with our faith comes belief in Jesus and a “putting off” of our former selves in favor of our new life in Christ.
I have repented of sins, yet I am weak and still fall to the temptations of the evil one. Nevertheless, I pray for forgiveness through Christ, pick myself up, and forgetting my “slip,” I press onward towards the goal of heaven!
Salvation belongs to those who are in the body of Christ. We are told in no uncertain terms that this takes place during baptism…(Romans 6:3-5, Acts 2:38). This is how we receive the precious Holy Spirit to help guide us in our Christian lives.
I was baptized some years ago in order that I may obey the gospel of Christ and wash away my past sins. I was then a new person, reborn when I was raised up from the “watery grave” and started fresh as a new-born babe in the Lord…
Glorious is the one who endures through their entire earthly life unto death. Yes, we usually miss those who are most dear to us when they finally pass. However, we can be happy for such a one who will go home to their Lord.
For their hope of heaven has carried them up until their earthly death, but now they will realize all of the glory of being in the presence of the Lord. They will want for nothing. Their tears and physical pains will be a thing of the past. They are made perfect and happy in their Lord forever more.
Some day, I hope to be numbered among those who have walked the narrow path and live with my God forever. May this be the desire of every Christian as they live for Christ and keep themselves from the sins and temptations of the evil one.
Blessed is the name of the Lord for all He has done, and continues to do for us!
